On April 24th, Base creator and core contributor Jesse Pollak announced the establishment of The Based Institute, an independent research organization designed to study Base culture. The research organization is not affiliated with Coinbase or Base and is funded and led by Jesse Pollak in his personal capacity.
The research organization aims to study What It Means To Be Based, including the origin of the word based, The Base God, and other early cultures on Base. Through this research, The Based Institute hopes to support the development of an optimistic, affluent, and based culture in the Base economy.
