On April 18, the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government issued a notice on "Several Measures to Promote the High-quality Development of the Private Economy in the New Era and New Journey". It proposes to encourage private enterprises to actively participate in key scientific and technological research tasks. Encourage private enterprises to apply for national innovation platforms and major national research tasks. Support private enterprises and science and technology departments to set up joint scientific research funds to carry out topic selection around the technical needs of enterprises. Encourage private enterprises to carry out scientific and technological research and participate in key innovation tasks by means of "revealing the list and marshalling". Encourage private enterprises to undertake major projects in strategic emerging industries, major special projects in science and technology at the municipal level and municipal science and technology projects.
