American filmmaker, record executive, and art collector David Geffen has filed a countersuit against Justin Sun, challenging his claims to a multi-million dollar sculpture.
On April 16, the US billionaire media mogul filed a countersuit against Sun, calling the Tron founder's lawsuit a "scam" and accusing him of "unethical and/or illegal business conduct."
Sun sued Geffen in February, alleging that the statue was stolen by a former employee who then sold the artwork to Geffen for about $65 million, including the artwork and cash.
Sun bought Alberto Giacometti's sculpture Le Nez for $78 million at Sotheby's in 2021, with the assistance of Xiong Zihan Sydney, a former art consultant.
