Bitcoin miner Bit Digital buys a US property for $53.20 million

Bitcoin miner Bit Digital disclosed in a Form 8-K filed with the Securities Exchange Commission that it has acquired an industrial building in Madison, North Carolina, for $53.20 million through its wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary, Enovum Data Centers Corp., including a $2.25 million down payment (of which $1.20 million is non-refundable). The transaction is expected to close on May 15. It is reported that Bit Digital has been expanding into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing since 2023 to diversify its revenue beyond crypto mining.
