Trump: No regrets about nominating Powell

Asked by reporters on Thursday after a barrage of insults against Federal Reserve chairperson Jerome Powell, US president Donald Trump declined to say he regretted nominating him for the job. "I think he's terrible, but I can't complain," Mr. Trump said, noting that the economy had been strong during his first term. Mr. Trump went on to complain about Mr. Powell, saying he thought the Fed chairperson was "playing politics" and that he was "a guy I never liked very much".
