On April 17, the European Central Bank cut the deposit mechanism rate by 25 basis points to 2.25%, in line with market expectations, for the sixth consecutive meeting of interest rate cuts. The main refinancing rate and marginal lending rate were cut from 2.65% and 2.9% to 2.4% and 2.65% respectively.
