On April 17, the Snapshot voting page revealed that the Commonal community has opened a vote on the "Early Redemption Fee Redistribution" UIP-7 proposal, which will end on April 18. The proposal is a natural continuation of UIP-6 and aims to complete the redistribution of USUAL tokens collected from early redemption fees.
Subject to community approval, 134 million USUAL tokens will be allocated as follows: 67 million USUALs will be allocated to USUALx holders; 67 million USUALs will be allocated to USUAL * holders. Of these, the first 47 million of each group correspond to the early redemption fee mentioned and approved in UIP-6. This part will be allocated over the next few weeks through the Time-Weighted Average Position (TWAP) system, rewarding the pledgers based on the size and stability of the user's position since January 19, 2025. The remaining 20 million of each group were accumulated after the passage of UIP-6 due to the ongoing early redemption activity. This newer tranche will be distributed near the end of the reallocation period, based on loyalty criteria, with a focus on rewarding holders who maintain positions and do not sell the allocated rewards. TWAP-based allocations will be made periodically from the date of approval of this proposal until the end of June 2025, following exactly the schedule defined in UIP-6.
