On April 16, NVIDIA (NVDA. O) said in a filing on Tuesday that quarterly expenses related to the export of H20 graphics processing units to some regions and countries were about $5.50 billion. The stock fell more than 6% in after-hours trading after the news was announced. NVIDIA said in a filing that on April 9, the U.S. government told the company that it would need to obtain licenses to export chips to certain countries and regions. NVIDIA's filing is the strongest sign yet that NVIDIA's overall growth may slow due to increased export restrictions on its chips. The U.S. government says NVIDIA's chips can be used to make military supercomputers.
