ZKsync posted on the X platform that after investigation, the administrator accounts of the three airdrop distribution contracts have been hacked, and the attacker called the sweepUnclaimed () function to mint about 111 million non-claimed ZK tokens from the aidrop contract. This incident only involves the airdrop distribution contract, and all the funds that can be minted have been minted.
The ZKsync protocol, the ZK token contract, all three governance contracts, and all active token scheme cap miners have not been affected by this incident and will not be affected. Recovery efforts are currently being coordinated with the exchange, advising attackers to return funds and avoid legal liability.
