Only 20 Bitcoin Service Providers (BSPs) are active in El Salvador

According to Bitcoin.com News, of the 181 registered Bitcoin Service Providers (BSPs) in El Salvador, only 20, or just 11 percent, are active, according to records from the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador. These include the official digital wallet Chivo, which will be disbanded under an agreement between the government and the international monetary fund (IMF). Although El Salvador was one of the first countries to open its doors to bitcoin and cryptocurrency services, interest in these solutions has been low.
