The three major indices of US stocks collectively closed higher. The Nasdaq index rose 2.06%, the S & P 500 index rose 1.81%, and the Dow Jones index rose 1.56%. The S & P 500 index rose 5.7% this week, the largest weekly gain since November 2023. The Nasdaq index rose 7.29% this week, and the Dow rose 4.95% this week. Most of the large technology stocks rose, Apple rose more than 4%, Nvidia rose more than 3%, and Google and Amazon rose more than 2%. Most of the chip stocks rose, Broadcom and AMD rose more than 5%, and TSMC rose nearly 4%.
