China Forging Association issues a solemn statement and initiative on the imposition of tariffs on imported automobiles and parts by the United States

On April 11, the China Forging Association issued a solemn statement and initiative on the US imposition of tariffs on imported automobiles and parts. The association said that the US move is a typical unilateralism and trade protectionism, which seriously violates the principles and rules of the WTO, undermines the global multilateral trading system and international trade order, and causes the global forging, stamping, sheet metal and manufacturing parts and equipment manufacturing industry chain and supply chain to face the risk of disruption. The association strongly calls on the US government to listen to the voice of the industry, recognize the harm of tariffs, return to the multilateral trading system, and resolve trade disputes through equal, fair and mutually beneficial negotiations and consultations, so as to jointly maintain global economic prosperity and stability.
