David Cassidy, head of investment strategy at Wilsons Advisory, said investors appeared to be leaning towards the view that Mr. Trump's so-called reciprocal tariffs would be substantially rolled back by the end of the 90-day moratorium. "Compared to what happened 24 hours ago, we see this as a significant positive for both the global and US economies as well as key asset markets," Mr. Cassidy said. However, he said significant uncertainty remained. Mr. Cassidy added: "Despite the equity rally and improved outlook, some of the additional risk premiums on US assets could be permanent or could take years to unwind."
