Argentina's House of Representatives voted Tuesday to approve three draft resolutions establishing a special committee to investigate the Libra cryptocurrency scandal that has plagued the administration of President Javier Milei since February.
"It is time for Congress to examine whether this has done any harm to Argentina: we are committed to finding the truth," Representative Pablo Juliano told the chamber during Tuesday's debate.
Representative Gabriel Bornoroni of La Libertad Avanza defended the president during the debate, suggesting that the opposition was "creating a farce" because they were "unhappy with our fiscal surplus for all of 2024 and this year."
