Crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett disclosed that Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. has been designated as an additional custodian to support spot crypto ETPs and other BlackRock funds that provide exposure to crypto assets. As of April 3, 2025, BlackRock is the world's largest issuer of spot crypto ETPs with $50 billion in assets under management.
With Anchorage, BlackRock now has access to digital asset custodial services, collateral services, settlement services and on-chain governance solutions in a major strategic move for the company.
