"I'm very dismayed that after tremendous economic progress for our country and our president, we've made what I consider to be major policy mistakes, and now we're at risk because of tariffs," he said. Earlier, Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, said Ackman should tone down the tariff language: "I urge everyone, especially Bill, to tone down the rhetoric a little bit."
