Ripple objects to SEC's proposed $2 billion fine

In a court filing late Monday, Ripple Labs rebutted the Securities Exchange Commission's request that the company pay nearly $2 billion in fines. The move comes after the Securities Exchange Commission said last month that Ripple should pay nearly $2 billion in fines for selling XRP to institutional investors, but Ripple said in its motion to oppose that figure should be closer to $10 million.
