PayPal and EnergyWeb propose incentive plans for green bitcoin miners

PayPal is encouraging bitcoin miners who take steps to reduce the environmental impact of their operations. PayPal said in a blog post Monday that the PayPal Blockchain Research Group has partnered with non-profit EnergyWeb to develop a clean energy verification platform for monitoring and rewarding less energy-intensive bitcoin mining operations.
