Meta releases new AI model series Llama 4

Meta released a new set of artificial intelligence models in its Llama series, Llama 4, on Saturday. The series features a total of four new models: Llama 4 Scout, Llama 4 Maverick, and Llama 4 Behemoth. All of these models were trained on "large amounts of unlabeled text, image, and video data" to give them "broad visual understanding capabilities," Meta said. Meta AI has been updated to use Llama 4 models in 40 countries. Currently, the multimodal functionality is only available in English in the United States.
