The market was tense before Trump announced the tariffs. The three major indexes of U.S. stocks opened lower collectively. The Dow fell 0.82%, the Nasdaq fell 1.39%, and the S & P 500 fell 1.04%. Tesla fell more than 5%, and Quarter 1 deliveries missed market expectations. Trump Media Technology Group fell more than 9% as the company filed a common stock offering application.
