On March 31, Binance Charity and Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao launched a joint donation initiative. The campaign will airdrop $1.50 million worth of BNB to users in Myanmar and Thailand who are confirmed to live in earthquake-affected areas to support local relief efforts. The identity of the recipient of this donation will be confirmed based on the user's KYC or POA information. Eligible users need to complete KYC or POA certification by March 31, 2025, and then receive the corresponding BNB token voucher through the reward center by April 14, 2025.
Richard Teng, chief executive of Binance, said: "We are deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake in Myanmar, Thailand and surrounding areas. Our prayers are with the victims, their families and all those affected by the disaster. Binance stands in solidarity with the community and hopes that our efforts can bring some comfort and help during this difficult time."
