Senior investigators from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence and economic crimes unit have been charged with the alleged misappropriation of more than $21 million in crypto assets during their investigation into cryptocurrency exchange Cryptoland. According to court documents reviewed by Iran International Television, Mehdi Hajipour and Mehdi Badi, two senior officials of the IRGC's economic intelligence unit, were the main masterminds of the scheme. Blockchain evidence shows that wallets controlled by Hajipour alone handled more than $21 million worth of tokens.
