On March 24th, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko replied to a user's opinion that "there is no reason to build L1, L2 can be faster, cheaper and safer", saying, "there is no reason to build L2, L1 can be faster, cheaper and more secure. They will not be slowed down by the slow movement of L1 data availability stack, nor do they have to compromise security through complex proof of fraud and upgrade multi-signature."
