Cathie Wood, founder of Ark Invest, will give an opening speech for El Salvador's newly launched "Center for Urban Welfare and Opportunity" (CUBO) artificial intelligence (AI) program. The program is a public education initiative led by the Salvadoran government. According to El Salvador's Bitcoin Office, the program will offer college-level AI courses for students and professionals, following the huge success of the country's CUBO Bitcoin and Lightning Network Developer Programs.
The program will use industry experts to provide AI education to the public. "CUBO AI will provide the country's students and professionals with the tools to dominate the AI frontier as El Salvador accelerates its transformation into the region's ultimate tech and financial powerhouse," the El Salvador Bitcoin Office wrote in a March 23 X (Twitter) post. El Salvador continues to attract cryptocurrency businesses and foreign direct investment as the Central American country positions itself as a regional tech and digital finance hub.
