Atomic Energy Organization of Iran: Earthquake Did Not Affect Natanz Nuclear Facility

On March 21, according to the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency (IRNA) reported on the 21st, Behruz Kamalvandi, Vice Chairperson of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said on the earthquake that occurred in Natanz, Isfahan Province, central Iran, that the earthquake did not affect the nuclear facilities in Natanz. According to the IRNA report, at 10:23 local time on the 21st, a magnitude 5 earthquake occurred near Natanz, Isfahan Province, with a depth of 10 kilometers. After the earthquake, a total of seven aftershocks were recorded, the largest of which was 4.5 magnitude.
