Evgeny Masharov, a member of the Russian Citizens' Association, has proposed the creation of a government cryptocurrency fund that would include assets confiscated from criminal proceedings. According to local news agency Tass on March 20, Masharov said the expected cryptocurrency fund would aim to generate revenue for the government and target social projects. "The proceeds of the cryptocurrency fund could be used for social, environmental and educational projects," he said.
