Survey: 70% of Crypto Payments in European Union for Retail, Food and Beverage

According to a survey of its users' spending habits by cryptocurrency payment platform Oobit, 70% of cryptocurrency payments in the European Union region are for retail, food and beverage consumption, Cointelegraph reports. The report, which denominates all transactions in US dollars, shows that the average payment amount using the Oobit app is $8.36, while the average deposit amount is around $85. After retail and food and beverage consumption, 26% of payments are for travel-related activities such as accommodation, travel and aviation. 1.5% are for government services and digital payments, with another 1.5% for other consumption such as healthcare and entertainment.
