International gold closes at a new high

Spot gold rose 1.13% to $3,034.42 an ounce, another record high in the second session. COMEX gold futures rose 1.15% to $3,040.7 an ounce, another record high. COMEX silver futures rose 0.97% to $34.64 an ounce.
