According to Yonhap News Agency, Wemade's blockchain subsidiary Wemix Foundation representative Kim Seok-hwan admitted to losing about 8.65 million WEMIX tokens (worth about $6.22 million) due to the hack at an emergency meeting.
Hackers attacked the Play Bridge Vault system on February 28 by stealing the authentication key of the NFT platform "Nile". Kim Seok-hwan explained that the delayed notification was for fear of triggering more attacks and market panic, emphasizing that "absolutely no thought or attempt was made to cover up the incident".
