The average gas fee for Ethereum has dropped by 95% in the year following the Dencun upgrade. On March 13, 2024, Ethereum's Dencun upgrade was launched, which combined the Cancun upgrade for the execution layer and the Deneb upgrade for the consensus layer, and introduced nine Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs).
