Mercado Bitcoin and Polygon Labs plan to issue $200 million worth of tokenized assets

Mercado Bitcoin, a Latin American cryptocurrency exchange, is partnering with Polygon Labs to scale up the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) in the region. The plan aims to issue more than $200 million in tokenized assets this year, which will more than double the platform's current total. The collaboration focuses on integrating Polygon's blockchain infrastructure into Mercado Bitcoin's tokenization process.
