Kraken has announced that it has officially received an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) mandate from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which will accelerate Kraken's growth plans in the UK and drive the launch of new products and services targeted at local customers.
The EMI license will give Kraken the power to issue electronic money, which will speed up deposits and withdrawals, and enable Kraken to establish partnerships with traditional Financial Institution Groups.
This achievement follows Kraken's recent acquisition of a European Union MiFID license, further solidifying Kraken's commitment to compliance operations within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
