Thai regulators have approved the acceptance of USDT as an approved cryptocurrency

Tether announced that Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the acceptance of USDT as an approved cryptocurrency. This approval enables USDT to be traded within the country, facilitating its listing on regulated exchanges. The updated regulations, which are designed to enhance flexibility for digital asset businesses, will come into effect on March 16, 2025. Thailand's SEC had previously solicited public feedback on the changes and finalized them in February 2025 with broad industry support.
