According to The Fintech Times, digital payments giant Visa has launched a "touch-and-add" card feature in the Egyptian market, allowing cardholders to add cards to digital wallets by simply tapping a Visa contactless card on a mobile device.
Malak El Baba, Country Manager and Vice President, Visa Egypt, said that the "add card at a touch" feature will increase customer confidence and encourage wider adoption of digital payments. For card issuers, the feature reduces the risk of configuration fraud and associated costs, simplifies the process of adding wallets, reduces Client Server inquiries, and increases transaction approval rates.
