Securities Supervision Commission: Relax the scope of qualified products for stock ETFs under the Shanghai-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect

On April 19, the China Securities Supervision Commission said that it will relax the scope of qualified products of stock ETFs under the Shanghai-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect. Under the guidance of the Securities Supervision Commission of the two places, the Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong exchanges have reached a consensus to moderately relax the average asset management size requirements of qualified stock ETFs, reduce the southbound Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF products, and make corresponding adjustments to the northbound Shanghai Stock Connect and Shenzhen Stock Connect ETF products to support the construction of Hong Kong International Asset Management Center.
