On March 7, 2025 Beijing time, Trump officially signed the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Executive Order. According to the executive order revealed by White House AI and cryptocurrency director David Sacks, the US Treasury Secretary and Commerce Secretary are authorized to develop budget-neutral strategies to acquire more bitcoin, provided that these strategies do not increase the cost to US taxpayers.
