David Sacks: Apart from confiscating acquired assets, the US government will not acquire other cryptoassets for strategic reserves

David Sacks, the White House director of AI and cryptocurrency, said in a social media post that the executive order signed by President Trump also established the U.S. digital asset repository, which includes digital assets other than bitcoin that are confiscated in criminal or civil lawsuits. The government will not acquire assets for the reserve other than those acquired through the forfeiture process. The purpose of the repository is to manage government digital assets under the leadership of the Treasury Department.
