Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission has warned the public to beware of an entity operating under the name "Linkbex", which falsely claims it has ties to seven companies licensed by the Securities Supervision Commission in Hong Kong, and is suspected of engaging in fraudulent activities related to virtual assets.
Investors also reported that their Linkbex accounts had been locked up by the so-called "Securities Supervision Commission Anti-Money Laundering Investigation". The Hong Kong Police Force has taken action to block Linkbex-related websites at the request of the Securities Supervision Commission.
