Bybit asks ParaSwap DAO to refund fees earned by hacker exchanges

Bybit confirmed that it had initiated a proposal to require the DeFi protocol ParaSwap to refund the fees incurred by the Lazarus hacking group when trading digital assets stolen from the exchange. On March 4, a proposal was posted on ParaSwap's Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) forum to freeze and return nearly $100,000 worth of 44.67 wETH. The proposal initially raised suspicions, with multiple DAO members asking to verify the provenance of the proposal. Bybit posted a verification post on its official X account on March 5 confirming that the proposal was initiated by it.
