According to Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett, as of this morning, an official invitation to the White House crypto summit on Friday has not been sent out. According to two sources close to the preparations for the conference, the guest list will be narrowed compared to previously expected and will include industry heavyweights such as Michael Saylor.
The meeting is expected to be attended by 20-25 people in a roundtable format, held at the White House, and will include other members of the President's Digital Asset Task Force (PWG), so fewer industry representatives will be invited. It is unclear who will attend besides Bo Hines and David Sacks.
But looking back at Trump's executive order, PWG also includes officials such as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary @howardlutnick, Attorney General @PamBondi, SEC Chairperson, CFTC Chairperson, and others.
In addition, a larger, invitation-only reception is being planned at the White House for those not invited to the roundtable. All arrangements are still being made in real time and are not 100% finalized, so changes are still possible. But this is the latest I've heard so far.
