National Bureau of Statistics: With the resumption of work and production by enterprises after the Spring Festival, production and business activities have accelerated

On March 1st, Zhao Qinghe, senior statistician of the Service Industry Survey Center of the National Bureau of Statistics, interpreted the China Purchasing Manager Index in February 2025: In February, as enterprises resumed work and production one after another after the Spring Festival, production and operation activities accelerated, and the manufacturing Purchasing Manager Index rebounded significantly, reaching 50.2%, up 1.1 percentage points from the previous month; the non-manufacturing business activity index was 50.4%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month; the comprehensive PMI output index was 51.1%, up 1.0 percentage points from the previous month. The three major indices are all in the expansion range, and the overall economic prosperity level of our country has rebounded.
