US stocks close: Nasdaq falls 2.7% Nvidia falls more than 8%

On February 28th, US stocks closed on Thursday, with the Dow initially closing down 0.4%, the S & P 500 index down 1.58% and the Nasdaq index down 2.78%. Chip stocks suffered, with Nvidia (NVDA. O) closing down 8.4% and Broadcom (AVGO. O) down 7%. Tesla (TSLA. O) fell 3% and Strategy (MSTR. O) fell more than 8%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon index fell 0.9%, Alibaba (BABA. N) fell 1.7% and Kingsoft Cloud (KC. O) fell 13%.
