美国证交会（SEC）公司融资监管部发布了关于迷因币（memecoins）的指导意见，称它们不属于证券，而是类似于收藏品。该部门认为，指引中描述的有关迷因币的交易不涉及联邦证券法规定的证券发行和销售。因此，参与迷因币发行和销售的个人无需根据1933年《证券法》向委员会注册其交易，也不需要符合《证券法》中的注册豁免条款。因此，迷因币购买者或持有者不受联邦证券法的保护。
