Bitcoin prices fell 3.6% to about $85,600 on Wednesday, a drop of 15% over the past month, and more than $800 billion was wiped off the global cryptocurrency market in just a few days. Outflows from spot bitcoin ETFs exceeded the previous daily record of $671 million, and Geoff Kendrick, global head of digital asset research at Standard Chartered, estimates that since the U.S. election, the average purchase price of spot bitcoin ETFs has been around $97,000, meaning buyers have lost a total of about $1.30 billion during the period.
