On February 26, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce said in response to a reporter's question on Canada's sanctions against Chinese companies on the grounds of Russia-related relations that China has always opposed unilateral sanctions without the basis of international law and the authorization of the UN Security Council, stressing that relevant countries must not damage the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, institutions and individuals in dealing with the Ukraine issue, including the right to normal trade, investment and financial cooperation.
