US stocks close: China Concept Stock Index rose nearly 1%, Tesla fell more than 3%

U.S. stocks closed Thursday with the Dow initially closing up 24 points, with the S & P 500 down 0.2 percent and the Nasdaq down 0.5 percent. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSM. N) fell 4.8 percent, Microsoft (MSFT. O) fell 1.8 percent and Tesla (TSLA. O) fell 3.5 percent. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon rose 0.99 percent, Weibo (WB. O) and Tencent Music (TME. N) rose at the 3 percent line, and NIO (NIO. N) rose 2 percent.
