Cryptocurrency Exchange Kraken Acquires TradeStation Crypto

Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is in the process of acquiring TradeStation Crypto, the digital asset-focused unit of online brokerage TradeStation, in an effort to expand its regulatory licensing in the United States. "We can confirm that Kraken recently purchased TradeStation's crypto business," a Kraken spokesperson said via email. "This transaction is part of our efforts to accelerate our presence in the United States and will provide further growth and new product opportunities for Kraken in the United States." The company declined to disclose the amount paid. The acquisition was not previously publicly disclosed.
