China's one-year interbank certificate of deposit rate rose to its highest level since October

On February 25th, China's interbank certificate of deposit rate rose to a multi-month high, approaching the interest rate of the People's Bank of China's one-year liquidity facility. The AAA-rated one-year interbank certificate of deposit rate rose to 1.99% on Monday, the highest level since October. This is close to the 1-year medium-term lending facility (MLF) rate of the People's Bank of China at 2%.
