The mETH Protocol released an update to the Bybit security incident, which disclosed that a security incident at Bybit resulted in unauthorized withdrawals of mETH and cmETH from the exchange, including the exchange of 8,000 mETH into ETH through three DEX transactions, the initiation of 15,000 cmETH withdrawals through mETH Protoc but unsuccessful completion, the absence of risk to Mantle or mETH Protocol and the reduction of cmETH liquidity on Mantle Network L2, and the blacklisting of the attacker's wallet address, which prevented further cmETH transfers or interactions within the protocol. Ultimately, no unauthorized cmETH exits occurred, and the contract has now resumed and operations are back to normal.
