The Universal project development team Alongside completed a $9 million strategic financing, led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and Coinbase participated in the investment to support its uAsset cross-chain liquidity solution.
uAssets uses a "burn-cast" mechanism and Coinbase escrow to transfer assets between different blockchains (e.g. SUI, Ripple, Dogecoin). It is currently listed on Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, and plans to expand to all EVM chains and more.
